Representative Carolyn Maloney, Chair of the House Oversight Committee, has introduced two postal related bills.
The first, H.R. 1307, introduced 2-24-2021, would “amend Title 39 of the US Code to require mail-in-ballots to use the Postal Service barcode service, and for other purposes.”
The second, H.R. 1582 introduced 3-3-2021, would “clarify and increase the restrictions on political activities that are applicable to the members of the Postal Service Board of Governors, including the Postmaster General and the Deputy Postmaster General, and for other purposes. “
Both bills are in the initial states of the legislative process. The next step is to be considered by Committee before moving on to a vote from the entire House. The full text of the bill is not yet available.
