Donald Lee Moak is the newest nominee to the USPS Board of Governors. Mr. Moak is the President and CEO of public affairs group, The Moak Group.
A resident of Florida, he is the former president of the Air Line Pilots Association. Prior to that Mr. Moak was a Marine Corps and Navy fighter pilot, and a Delta Airlines captain. Captain Moak holds a degree from the University of West Florida and held the ranks of Captain in the United States Marine Corps and Commander in the United States Navy. He has served on the Federal Aviation Association Management Advisory Council, AFL-CIO Executive Council, and was Chair of the Financial Oversight Committee for the AFL-CIO Transportation Trades Department.
Nominees to the USPS Board of Governors are nominated by the President, and approved by the Senate. Mr. Moak’s nomination is to serve the remainder of a term ending on December 8, 2022.
The USPS Board of Governors is similar to a board of directors. Among other tasks, the Governors conduct long-range planning and set strategic policies.
