The USPS announced today that the Board of Governors has chosen Mr. David Steiner as the new PMG . Pending the results of necessary background and ethics checks, Mr. Steiner will become the 76th Postmaster General.
Amber McReynolds, chair of the USPS Board of Governors praised Mr. Steiner as a “highly regarded leader and executive with tremendous vision, experience and skill that can be applied to the long-term mission and business needs of the Postal Service.”
Mr. Steiner said, “It is an incredible honor to be asked to lead the world’s greatest postal organization, with a history that stretches back before the founding of the United States.”
Mr. Steiner spent president and 12 years as CEO of Waste Management Services and is currently on the Board of FedEx. He will be leaving that board position prior to becoming PMG.
