The bi-partisan USPS Board of Governors has unanimously approved Louis DeJoy as the 75th Postmaster General of the United States. Beginning June 15, 2020 Mr. DeJoy will take on his new role. He will be the fifth PMG coming from the private sector rather than up through the ranks since the USPS became independent in 1971.
Mr. DeJoy has spent more than 35 years working in supply chain logistics. His recent tenure as Chairman and CEO of New Breed Logistics provided collaboration with the U.S. Postal Service as well as public companies to provide supply chain logistics and transportation support. Robert Duncan, chair of the Board of Governors said that “Louis DeJoy understands the critical public service role of the United States Postal Service, and the urgent need to strengthen it for future generations.”
