Folks, there are two issues that are pressing at the moment that deserves immediate attention.
      1. USPS has altered the FOIA data where it literally destroys this list and makes it unusable for comps. We had access to the FOIA list for many years and used this data for fair comps to be used in negotiation and its now gone. Due to the Freedom of Information Act this list was always available. Its withdrawal from the public is in direct violation of the FOIA. AUSPL should use ALL their manpower and finances to combat this loss of data. If AUSPL membership costs go up due to the probable lawsuit that must be taken against USPS then so be it. We must tackle this IMMEDIATELY with whatever legal means we have. To me, there is no crisis larger than this that has hit AUSPL then this one and must be firmly and quickly resolved.
      2. USPS new lease. There have been major changes to the new lease. AUSPL discussed this at the last annual meeting and included a workbook discussing the proposed changes. That’s fine and dandy but reviewing the 30+ page lease requires detailed review of what we once had, what they now want and what we are willing to give. Several of us have joined forces to analyze the new lease and are trying to come up with a master draft that would be acceptable to us. If anyone wants to put in the time to analyze the new lease, make their own changes and discuss at length the changes our group finds, then please contact me at galevin@hotmail.com
Just trying to make some sense out of an agreement that affects our future with our USPS that will be agreeable to both parties.
      Thanks

Should have added this to the above:
      3. We need complete access to the most recent FOIA list. I’ve got appx 40 years of experience of researching the data on my buildings and prefer to do it myself rather than have AUSPL do it for me. We need access to the complete most recent version of the FOIA list. If anyone has this information please contact me at galevin@hotmail.com
We need free access to this information so our rents are based on facts and comparables and helps eliminate the guesswork.
      Thanks

      (I’m my biggest fan)

If the GSA must give out the details of all their leases a precedent is in place.

      https://www.gsa.gov/real-estate/real-estate-services/leasing-policy-procedures/lease-documents

EXAMPLE OF ONE IN NYS – NOTE THAT THEY EVEN GIVE OUT THE LEASES WITH MOST DETAILS:

Why isn’t AUSPL suing them? The postal service would have to pay their legal bills as well. Wondering which side of the fence AUSPL is on? Wondering if my postings will disappear? We are in a crisis especially when you own multiple post offices and the source for comps gets removed illegally.
      All the above is JMHO.
      Gerald
