Keith is the Senior Vice President – Advisory Services for Real Estate Asset Counseling, LLC, as subsidiary of Postal Realty Trust, Inc.

During Keith’s earlier career with the US Postal Service he managed the Western Facilities Service Office and was the Acting Vice President – Facilities.  In addition, he served in finance and operational positions within the USPS.

An accomplished speaker, Keith has presented at many of the AUSPL Regional and National Conferences. His expertise in lease negotiations, real estate acquisitions, financing, and many issues pertaining to the USPS facilities organization is extremely valuable to AUSPL and its members.

Keith is a graduate of Arizona State University with a degree in Management and Finance.  He is a Counselor of Real Estate and had previously served in leadership positions with both the National Association of Corporate Real Estate and CoreNet Global.

Lawrence “Larry” Magdovitz, II is the President of Harrimack, LLC.  Currently, Harrimack, LLC manages 974 post offices in 46 states and Puerto Rico, as well as other commercial real estate throughout the United States.  Prior to founding Harrimack, LLC in 2015, Larry practiced as a tax attorney with Phelps Dunbar, LLP in Tupelo, MS.  His academic background includes a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Boston University, a J.D. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville College of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University.  He is also a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) credentialed through the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Joyce McCutcheon is the owner and principal interior designer at 3-D Design. Joyce assists clients daily in navigating through new construction and remodeling projects. She earned her BS in Interior Design from LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, PA. She was raised in a family owned retail business. She was active in the office and with PR, marketing and facility management. Along with her Design firm she is an owner in Crown & Thistle, LLC and the Elmac Group which owns postal facilities as well as other property holdings.  Joyce is a former Chamber of Commerce Director, and serves on the Planning Commission and Architectural Review Board in her home town.

Norbert Bromenshenkel is a retired FBI engineer who now oversees the
day-to-day activities of Brunsdale Development LLLP. Norbert learned
the post office business from his father-in-law, John Brunsdale, who
was instrumental in building post offices in 6 states. While at the FBI
Norbert worked closely with federal contracting officers and gained
an in-depth insight into federal procurement processes to include
specification writing, proposal review and negotiations and contract
award. Norbert has also worked as a civilian for the US Army and has
worked in Germany, Arizona and Virginia.

Mark DattleMark Dattel, is President of Dattel Realty Company. He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis,TN, with a degree in Urban Development and joined his dad, Samuel Dattel (a founding member of AUSPL), in the business in 1994. Mark has built and leased over 200 post offices and other governmental buildings and still owns and manages many of them, as well as other commercial and residential properties.

John Heeren heads the brokerage arm of SMPO Properties, a post office development, management and brokerage firm. SMPO negotiates with the Postal Service on all phases of the leasing program.

Jeffrey Hilst is a principal in Watermark Investment Group, which specializes in the acquisition, renovation, leasing and redevelopment of apartment complexes, retail centers and industrial facilities. His family has built and leased post offices for many years.

Steve Hurlbut is a Partner in Akerman. LLP in Washington, D.C.  His practice focuses on construction and government contract litigation.  He has co-authored multiple publications and has served as an instructor on the topic of postal  contracting.  In his early career Steve worked for the USPS, Office of Contracts and Property Law, as a Trial Attorney and Assistant Regional Counsel.  Steve has a J.D. from Washington University School of Law.

Robert Kapusta, Jr. has been practicing law for 25 years and specializes in real estate, tax, lease and estate planning. He is also a CPA and owns post offices and medical office buildings.

Marian Moss’s father began building post offices in the 1970s. Marian and her family own many postal facilities. A former Dean of the College of Education at the University of New Orleans, Marian now manages her personal and her family’s commercial real estate properties.

Gary PhillipsGary Phillips, President of GP West, Inc., has 30 years of experience developing USPS leased facilities. Additionally, Gary designs, builds, renovates and handles Indefinite Quantity Contracting for USPS owned postal buildings and  works with the USPS on facility consolidation projects.

Renee Poelstra is a Broker Associate for Poelstra Properties, specializing
in buying and selling USPS properties and is a regular consultant on
USPS lease negotiations on behalf of Postal Lessors. Renee graduated
in 2003 from San Diego State University with a BA in Communications
and an emphasis in Journalism. She worked at NBC San Diego in the
writing division and also interned for Congressman Darrell Issa, working
on constituent issues in the 50th district of San Diego County. In 2004,
Renee obtained her real estate license and began working for Poelstra
Properties, a business she had grown up in and was all too familiar. After years of strictly
focusing on buying and selling as a real estate agent, Renee upgraded to a Real Estate Broker’s
License in 2013 and at that time became more involved in complicated lease negotiations and
larger acquisitions for the firm.

Steve Roberts is a third-generation postal lessor from Cleveland, OH.  His grandfather, George W. Timmons, built post offices in the Great Lakes states during the 1960s, and the family continues to lease to the USPS almost 100,000 sq. ft of space in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky.  His uncle, David Timmons, previously served on the AUSPL Board.

Mr. Roberts is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has an MBA in Management and Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He has twenty-five years of experience as a business appraiser and four years as the Technology Transfer Officer at Kent State University. This experience will provide excellent background for the AUSPL Board.  As President and Managing Partner of Timmons Properties, he is well versed in all phases of working with the USPS.  Lease negotiations, maintenance issues, technology platforms, and monitoring USPS policies and market conditions are all part of his customary responsibilities. He has worked closely with his cousins and siblings to ensure that this family business will succeed in the third generation, and, with luck, well into the fourth.

Robert SchlagerAs president of Bulfinch, Robert Schlager directs and oversees the development, construction, leasing and property management activities for all Bulfinch assets. Under his tutelage, Bulfinch has permitted, developed, constructed and otherwise entitled several million square feet of commercial office, industrial and retail space. Robert was recognized by USPS with several commendations for fast-tracking post office construction.

Andrew_Spodek

Andrew Spodek is a second-generation postal lessor and is the chief executive officer and on the board of directors of Postal Realty Trust, the first and only publicly traded real estate investment trust focusing solely on the acquisition and management of properties leased to the United States Postal Service. Andrew was the founder and CEO of Postal Realty Trust’s predecessor entity, Nationwide Postal Management, Inc. NPM, founded in 2004, was the largest manager of USPS-leased properties in the United States. Andrew has over 20 years of experience exclusively focused on investing in and managing post office properties. Prior to founding NPM, Andrew led acquisitions and property management for his family’s private real estate investment activities.

Andrew earned an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University and a B.B.A. in Finance & International Management from Boston University.

Dawn Bowman is a former Vice President of Frall Developers, where she oversaw commercial division operations, handled land acquisition, financing, bids and lease negotiations.  She also supervised construction projects, handled daily office operations and was property manager for the hundreds of post offices owned by Frall Developers throughout the U.S.

Dawn served on the AUSPL board for 23 years.  For 13 of those years, she was the AUSPL Treasurer.  Throughout her postal career Dawn was passionate about education and communication, encouraging lessors to know and understand their leases.

Terry PhillipsTerry Phillips is president of Ocean West Nevada Corp., which specializes in building post office facilities and other commercial real estate. Terry has 50 years of experience working with USPS both as a builder and lessor. Terry is a past president of AUSPL..

Lana Ruch is well versed in advertising, marketing and public relations, having spent more than 30 years in the profit and not-for-profit industries, including serving as broadcasting director of ALSAC-St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She currently works at Dattel Realty, where she manages 40+ government leased facilities throughout the U.S.

Lawrence Schlager – Board Member EmeritusLarry Schlager is one of the founding members of AUSPL, which had its origins in the late 1970s. In 2014, he retired from AUSPL’s Board of Directors after nearly 30 years of service. Larry was instrumental in establishment of the Lease Amendment Program (LAP) in 1980, under which, in return for rent reductions and fair market value purchase options, the USPS accepted Maintenance Riders giving the USPS maintenance responsibilities. At the time, the LAP was very important for postal lessors, who had maintenance costs skyrocket due to the high inflation levels. In addition to his work with AUSPL, Larry serves as Chairman of the Board of The Bulfinch Companies, Inc., and as President of Island Estates, a custom home builder in Florida.

Morgan Wolaver

Morgan Wolaver has been an AUSPL Board Member since 2000 and served as President 2012 – 2015. Morgan is a second-generation postal property investor. He worked on postal facilities and residential construction projects for his father, who built more than 150 facilities over a 33-year period. After college, Morgan spent 17 years in the marine industry. In 1995 he took over management of his family’s investments, which includes a portfolio of postal properties.

Gary Poelstra owns and operates Poelstra Properties, a real estate firm specializing in USPS and GSA sales, management, consulting, and appraisal services. His expertise includes lease negotiations. Gary is a past president of AUSPL.

Dennis Pottenger  Denny Pottenger, Board Member Emeritus
